START (OS Landranger Series Sheet 89 Grid Ref NY237237) at the white
mark on the kerb just past the junction of the old A66 with the new
A66. Proceed in a south-easterly direction along the A66 to the Keswick
roundabout at the junction with the A591 Keswick/Bothel road (2 miles)
and take the first exit on to the A591 heading to Bothel. Proceed
along this road until the Castle Inn T-junction (8.7 miles) and turn left.
Proceed along the B5291 over Ouse Bridge (9.8 miles) (sharp left - caution) through
intersection with unclassified road 150 yards before A66 (caution - traffic
approaching from right). Turn left on to A66 (caution) and return to start for second lap.
The FINISH (31.1 miles) (NY232247) is approximately one third of a mile before the HQ on the
second lap.
Braithwaite Village Hall. Toilet, shower and changing facilities are available.
