Cockermouth 25 (Reverse)
A mainly flat 25 mile out and back course on single carriageway A-roads, with a short section of dual carriage way in the middle of the outward and return legs. This follows the same course as the standard A66 25 mile TT course but has a different start and finish point. It was used as a one off for the National Championships in 2002 but is now mainly used as an alternative 25 course on club nights.

Course Description
START (OS Landranger Series Sheet 89 Grid Ref NY237237) at the white mark on the kerb just past the junction of the old A66 with the new A66. Proceed in a south-easterly direction along the A66 to the Keswick roundabout at the junction with the A591 Keswick/Bothel road (2 miles). Encircle the roundabout and retrace along the A66 past the start and HQ and along the A66 until Cockermouth roundabout (14.9 miles). Encircle the roundabout and retrace along the A66 past Bassenthwaite Lake to FINISH (25 miles) (NY232247) approximately one third of a mile before the HQ.

HQ Description
The HQ is sometimes at Braithwaite Village Hall (NY233241) which is on the east of the A66 opposite Braithwaite Village - this tends to be for open events. Toilet, shower and changing facilities are available in the village hall. If permission to use the village hall has not been granted (or sought) then the HQ is most likely to be a quarter of a mile towards Keswick where the old A66 turns of the new road - no facilities are available here. This is where the start is.
